Well I haven't done anything to My beetle so far this year..

I do have to:
replace the original fusebox with two new fuseboxes as I'm having problems with the original fusebox and fuses

replace the speedometer with another German KMH speedo with 9 back lamps
replace all the bulbs with 10mm high intensity white LEDs
as the odometer isn't working on My speedometer

replace a rubber boot on a balljoint that has split
fit new camber adjusters [at the same time]

fit electric door locks - central locking alarm

replace the inlet manifold with a new one..
as the heat riser pipe is blocked up and rusted

fit a temperature sender to the plate on the rear of the 1500 engine - haven't found My sump plug sender since I had the engine out last time..

fit a new external oil cooler
replace the doghouse oil cooler sitting next to the RHS tappet cover

open the engine lid at the top for summer...
fit the hoodjacks instead of the alloy lid openers , as they are too difficult to align the engine cover... You don't move or undo any bolts to fit hoodjacks.. engine cover is always aligned correctly..

I have pop out windows to fit.. but the rubbers I received from the US were incorrect...
I also have a board with speakers to go behind the rear seat

check the tappets... oil change has been done...

now its 38C degrees and too hot to work on My car or any car lol...

Looks like you have quite a list there, Lee. It's always something isn't it?

Luckily,

none of these things are stopping Me from driving My beetle..

although I only go about 60kms in a trip, to the next largest town and back...

only problem i have, is when its too hot outside, its too hot to drive My beetle plus its too hot to work on My beetle...lol

when its cool I like to drive it...lol

cheers

well its just too hot to go outside...lol

so I won't be doing anything today... unless the temperature gets much lower than 38C ..

My high level stoplamp in the rear window is not connected
last time i had the engine out, I taped all the wires etc up to look neat...  and couldn't find the brake wire...  to reconnect it..  lol

I'll just go out about midnight and wax it again...

I forgot I bought some nice black/gray seat covers and have fitted one to the drivers seat..
so I have done something this Year... Yippee...
