Hello every one, I am new to the forum, and also "new" as a VW owner,..all though I did have a VW about 30 years ago,  a 1968 model.
I just recently bought a 1995 "beetle", in Mexico, this is the first car I have had in 15 years or more.
The biggest difference, between this new '95, and the older one I had, is this one has fuel injection, a fuel pump .
Ok, after I bought the car, in Torrreon, Coah,MX, ( close to where I live) and I got the new license plates, etc.
I had 2 weeks "vacation", and have had to return to work, here in Clinton, Ok.
I had a good trip, with no problems what so ever, all the way from my home in Mexico, to here,.. so I am very happy with my "new" volkso ,..
However I am wondering about where I can get a good repair "manual", and some other things, like, here almost all the gasoline, is 10% ethanol, or whatever it is they call it,.. Are there any aditives I should be using ?
So far I have not had any mechanical problems, at all so I don't really have any questions, however , there seems to be some problem determining what model the car really is, at one auto parts store, the had these, "chilton" repair manuels, but nothing for 1995 models, so I was going to see about ordering one, when he tried to look it up, he said there is no 1995 models, the last existing one being '78. In the manual for the '78, it still is not fuel injection, so it is not the same,...
Where should I look on the motor, or car, to get the information I need when trying to get parts ?,..
I would like to get some parts, like a extra fuel pump, etc. so that I have them on hand, in case something "wears or fails, while traveling,..In Mexico, parts are easily available in any major city, but I am concerned, here in the U.S. I may have  trouble finding some things,..
Also what oil do people recommend ?,..
I guess for now that is about all,.. if anyone happens to know of any good "shops", mechanics that speciallize in VW s,..near Clinton ,Ok. that would be nice,..
I have attached a foto of my "bocso", I love it !,...thanks from
Garry

Hey Garry, congrats on your Beetle! Since the Beetle was produced in Mexico until the end, can you not purchase a shop manual from a local VW dealer? As far as gas goes I would assume that whatever gas is recommended on the fuel door would work. I would stay away from any attitives as the car I'd designed to run without them.
