Hi Everyone!

I'm Eric, and I bought a '74 Super Beetle last month and am having a local shop restore it. The floor was rusted out, so new floor pans had to be installed. The car also needs new rubber seals, a fender, an engine, and brakes. Pretty much, they're building this car from the ground up. This is my first classic VW since my parents owned a 1970s Beetle. I'm very excited and have been reading up on maintaining it once it's back on the road.
Eric

Hey Eric,

Welcome to the forum and the the world of Beetles. It looks like you've got your hands full with your restoration, but I'm sure it will look amazing when you finish. What colour are you going with? Are you going to stay stock or go custom?

Thanks for the nice welcome, Wayne! I'm very excited and hopeful that everything will turn out well. The guys at The Bug Barn seem very knowledgeable and helpful, and they're keeping me updated on each step. I'm thinking of going with a medium-dark blue with a black interior. Trying to keep everything as stock as possible, although I do want to add a tach. I'm amazed at how accessible parts are, and they're not as costly as those on most modern cars.

Hello everyone!
Just acquired a 1974 1303s RHD.
It runs well but is quite shabby interior and bodywise. Restoration will start soon and all advise will be most appreciated
Adler.
