I just got my bug, the sunbug, and I am trying to find the silver Window trim that goes around the windows on the outside. I am trying to find the 6 vents that are beside the rear window on the inside, that are for the fresh air ventilation system. I know there are several websites that offer the crome peices and interior parts, I just need someone to point me in the direction. Thanks Guys again, remember I am knew to this!

Hi Chris
I would start with these. When I was restoring my '71 Super, these were the places I used. I did use J.C. Whitney a couple times and it was a major headache, so I don't recommend them. The first listing, Danny's Volks Stuff, is a company in Amarillo, Texas that I used because I was only an hour and a half away from them. They may or may not be of much benefit.

Congrats on your Sunbug! Have fun with it and love it forever.

HI
Many shops sell the chromed plastic strip that goes round the window rubbers in late model beetles..
its fairly expensive stuff... and doesn't last forever if left in the sun..  CIP1 has it...
it was probably used in other makes of cars back in the 70s and 80's...
I did hear that the interior pieces next to the rear window were no longer available... ??

cheers

Lee
