changing FI to carb...what is best carb/dizzy combo..(stock type 1 bbl)...thanks..Larry

If you are running a stock 1600 dual port the PICT 34-3 carb with the older style vacuum advance distributor is a good combination.  Check the commentary in the CIP1 website.  What they tell you makes a lot of sense especially with the flat spot on acceleration being eliminated with these two units working together.  My PICT 34-3 had been rebuilt and rebuilt again.  It had a 009 Bosche mechanical advance distributor which tended to hang up after advancing.  Losing this pair was the best thing that ever happened to MY72BUG.   Dan (MY72BUG) in Goderich

Thanks Dan...good stuff...I have the FI motor..I think the intake valves are a little smaller..do you think this will make any difference?
