I have a line on a 71-ish standard that has an outstanding body (less the floor pan under the battery), good interior, no engine and an automatic transmission. The engine I have in process is a 1700cc with a mileage maker Norris camshaft so it may be too much of the automatic.

How hard is swapping to a standard. Clutch cable, pedals, shifting rod, ??
Will the rest of the transaxle work or when I find a standard tranny do I need to get the entire transaxle?

Any help or insight would be appreciated.

Is the Autostick in good running condition? If so you might consider keeping it as they are very rare.
