Hi
Anyone have any experience with the accu-fire electronic points replacement...??

I'm looking at buying an electronic points replacement to do away with My points, I already have an electronic ignition which works great...

the alternative is Pertronix ignitor points replacement which is $20US extra... but maybe worth the extra money.

I also need to get a coil over 3 ohms resistance...
I have a few used coils - all under 3 ohms..

I bought a new coil and it turned out to be 1.5 ohms..

I've bought a bosch coil - not the round type...
waiting to receive it and measure it...

I did find one comment on the accu-fire ignition and it took the fellow 30 minutes of filing to make it fit his VW dizzy..?

Well.
the bosch coil is for electronic ignition cars only...
was used on fords over here.... MEC 717  part number

anyone have any info on bosch coils..??

The Pro-comp coil is leaking oil...
works OK but Oil is leaking even when its standing upright...
I don't want a coil leaking oil over My nice painted engine...  lol

so, I'm still learning about coils...

I need one with 3 or 4 ohms... resistance

at the moment My beetle is driving like New using new points
and a new .125uF condensor off a mitsubishi..

cheers
