I am in a wheelchair and I am rebuilding a Trike with a 71 Ghia Motor and auto stick ( I think?) I need to make it fully hand control ed
How could I make sure of what I have?
I would like to find out how to change the fluid in the torque converter and also is there a way to put a cooler on it I live in Florida and don't want to overheat it?

I am having a hard time trying to find manuals on this transmission and the wiring that goes with it

Thank you for any help

Hi
You
will need the ATF tank. the vacuum tank, the control valve, the FLEX plate instead of a flywheel, the DUAL ATF /engine oil pump [with new seals]

those are the main components [all I can think of at the moment]

You just change the gears [the electric switch for the clutch is inside the gear lever] and You can start off in Low
or DRIVE ONE or in DRIVE TWO

there is a light to tell you if the ATF gets too hot..
its unlikely a TRIKE would get over heated with the low weight..

the ATF would normally only get too hot if going up steep hills  towing a trailer   [or over 40C temperatures and hills]
To fill the torque converter You just fill the ATF Tank to the level on the Dipstick..  and turn the engine over by hand for the ATF to lubricate the pump seals and then start the engine
the gearbox is filled with 90  HYPOID oil ..

cheers
